Lilac Fire smoke damage
Riverview Church received significant smoke damage due to the Lilac Fire in December 2017. The fire itself forced them to close their doors for a weekend of services due to forced evacuations. Once the evacuation orders were lifted, our team came in with only 72 hours to decontaminate the 30,000 square-foot building and surrounding property so that another weekend of services was not missed.
Commercial Restoration Presents Unique Challenges
Fire damage is especially devastating for a business or commercial property. In addition to the fire and smoke damage, significant water damage from firefighting efforts and fire suppression systems may occur. SERVPRO of Fallbrook/South Oceanside has the training, experience, and equipment to handle large commercial fire damage emergencies. Whether your fire emergency occurs in a restaurant, motel, or office building, we will respond quickly to mitigate the damage and manage the restoration project through to its completion.
What To Expect:
When we visit your business after a fire loss, we will scope the affected areas to determine the extent of the loss. We will always pre-test affected surfaces to determine the type of smoke. The cleaning procedures will then be based on the information identified during pre-testing.
Different Types of Smoke
There are two different types of smoke–wet and dry. As a result, there are different types of soot residue after a fire. We will test this before restoration.
Smoke and soot facts:
- Hot smoke migrates to cooler areas and upper levels of a structure.
- Smoke flows around plumbing systems, seeping through the holes used by pipes to go from floor to floor.
- The type of smoke may greatly affect the restoration process.
We have the equipment, expertise, and experience to restore your fire and smoke damage. If a fire has damaged your business, call us right away at 760-451-0600.
